Limerick FC were selected as the winner of the 2013 Airtricity/Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland (SWAI) Club Website of the Year award.

In their first season back in the Airtricity League Premier Division, the Shannonsiders made a big effort to keep their website updated with club news, statistics, interviews and features.

The SWAI members opted to give their preference to Limerick for the prize despite strong competition from Bohemians and Dundalk, while several other Airtricity League websites could have made the shortlist.

Limerick are the fourth different club to win the award since it was first presented in 2006, joining Shelbourne, Dundalk and Shamrock Rovers. For a full list of past winners, click here

For the Press Officer of the Year award, St Patrick’s Athletic’s Colman Hanley was given the nod by the SWAI members just ahead of Dundalk’s Darren Crawley and Shamrock Rovers’ Martina Genockey.

In a year when St Pat’s lifted the Premier Division title, Colman proved to be ever resourceful and hugely helpful to media working at Richmond Park, so he is a deserving recipient of the award. For a full list of past winners, click here
