Derry City legend Mark Farren and his family are still seeking fundraising to help Mark get the treatment he needs to battle a brain tumour.
The former Finn Harps, Monaghan United, Derry City, and Glenavon striker underwent a third operation on his brain in April and as a result his speech and mobility have been affected.
The Soccer Writers’ Association of Ireland would urge all members of the Irish football community to help Mark in any way that they can.
You can donate to the Mark Farren fund here.
Glenavon will play an ex-Derry City XI on Thursday, May 7 at Mourneview Park (7.45pm) in a game that will raise vital funds for Mark to enable him to receive urgent cancer treatment in Germany. More details here.
